Mercury goes Retrograde
Mercury goes Retrograde
When they are beginning, Mercury retrograde cycles can have you feeling as if you’ve fallen down the rabbit hole. But the Universe is at your back, and offers up some gentle advice:
Please take some truly deep breaths, then begin the conscious work of slowing down your thoughts and your words. Though it is usually not immediately obvious, interesting and even lovely experiences can rise out of these retrograde cycles.
We all know the minor frustrations that are possible (but not necessarily imminent) during a retro Mercury—conversations where you begin to wonder if the other person speaks your language (it is possible s/he’s from another planetary system or just an idiot?), frustrating details run amok, works-in-progress seem unwilling to progress—but the unusual gifts in this retrograde patch can distract and, often, delight the aggravated mind because the potential for unexpected contact with people from our past, and even for the finding of lost treasures (significant and/or just hilarious), is high.
Please allow yourself to let go of thinking you need to know what’s up . . . and what’s coming . . . and what’s necessary . . . and you will be surprised by the things, often the people, that rise into the quiet space you’ve created when you stop over-thinking.
A suggestion from Mercury as it encourages you to focus your attention more toward your pure and wise interior voice: Relax your mind. Let your agenda find you rather than bludgeoning it with your will.
If you’d like some added perspective on these current cosmic weather patterns, please drop a note to schedule a reading—natal chart, transit chart, relationship or cartography charts.
